L&#039;apertura alare raggiunge gli 8 cm Il colore \u00e8 molto variabile, ma soprattutto sembra corteccia di pino, da cui prende il nome. Sulle ali anteriori \u00e8 presente un&#039;ampia striscia rosso-marrone e 2 macchie bianche semilunari. Dopo 2-3 settimane compaiono bruchi che rosicchiano giovani aghi.<\/p>\n<p>Il bruco raggiunge gli 8 cm di lunghezza, ha un colore variabile - dal marrone al grigio, ha piccole strisce blu scuro. In autunno, i bruchi vanno a svernare, arrampicandosi nella copertura di conifere o scavando nel terreno e rannicchiandosi.
