Le papillon Lasiocampidae est un papillon de grande ou moyenne taille, \u00e9pais et au corps velu, de la famille des Lasiocampidae. On peut difficilement les classer parmi les papillons l\u00e9gers et beaux que l'on pourrait faire voler sur la pelouse en courant.<\/p>\n

Les vers du cocoon ressemblent plus \u00e0 de grosses mites qui se pr\u00e9cipitent dans ce monde comme des combattants.<\/p>\n

Les ailes ant\u00e9rieures de ces papillons sont beaucoup plus grandes que les ailes post\u00e9rieures, leur trompe est r\u00e9duite, c'est-\u00e0-dire affaiblis et ils ne s'en nourrissent pas. Les antennes sont en forme de peigne, en forme de brosse et les m\u00e2les sont plumeux. Il existe de tels types: pin<\/a>, encercl\u00e9<\/a>, sib\u00e9rien<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Les chenilles ont 16 pattes et des poils abondants, vivent g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement sur des plantes ligneuses et se rassemblent parfois en \u00ab communaut\u00e9s \u00bb. Une chrysalide de ver \u00e0 soie dans un cocon de soie, c'est pourquoi on les appelle souvent vers \u00e0 soie.<\/p>\n
