Butterfly Belyanka pea

The white pea is one of the smallest and rarest butterflies in Europe. At present, it has almost disappeared and can only be found in some regions where the woodland intersects with the plains. There the butterflies live in small colonies. Now the white pea in its former variety can be found in the west of Ireland in the Baron.

Her wings are white, and grayish at the ends. Butterflies never land with spread wings. The underside of her wings are grey-green, which makes her less visible while she is resting.

Females lay eggs from late May to June. The larvae are greenish in color and well disguised as their food source. White pea pupates at the end of July in nearby shrubs, where it winters.
